The power of imagery

- Your body and mind treats visualizations as if they were real. This happens too when you watch a movie or TV show, even though you know the images are not real, you react as if they are real - you get excited during a car chase and your heart beats faster, and you cry when a fictional character dies.
- Meditation is an altered state where you are calm, relaxed and focused. While in a meditative state you can heal, change and grow more easily.
- Visualization can give you a sense of mastery when you practice a new skill or deal with an unfamiliar or stressful situation. And because meditation makes you feel more peaceful, you tend to feel more confident and capable.
